Effective August 28, 2026. This describes what information LabelingIQ collects, how it's used and shared, and the choices you have about it.
This policy covers LabelingIQ ("LabelingIQ," "we," "us"), the crowdsourced data-labeling and consensus platform at labelingiq.com. It applies to visitors to our marketing site, administrators and employees of customer companies who use the application, and independent participants who join our Public Participant pool to complete paid campaigns for other companies.
If your employer or another organization has set up a LabelingIQ account for you, that organization controls the data it enters about you (job title, manager, group membership, and similar) and is responsible for its own workforce's privacy notices. This policy describes how LabelingIQ, as the platform operating on that organization's behalf, handles that data.
Account and company information. When a company signs up, we collect the company name, the administrator's name and email address, a password (stored as a one-way cryptographic hash - we never store or can look up your actual password), and billing contact details.
Employee and profile information. A company's administrators can add employees directly or sync them from a connected HR system (BambooHR, Rippling, Gusto, Zoho People, ADP, or Workday), which may include name, email, job title, department, and manager relationships. Employees can add their own shipping addresses, additional emails/phone numbers, and profile tags describing their skills and experience.
Campaign content and responses. Ratings, labels, survey answers, free-text responses, and any images or videos submitted as part of a labeling campaign or survey, along with basic timing metadata used to compute a quality score.
Payment information. Billing is processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We store a reference to your saved payment method (e.g., card brand and last four digits) but never your full card number, which Stripe handles directly under its own privacy policy.
Public Participant Pool data. If you join LabelingIQ directly as an independent participant (rather than through an employer) to complete paid campaigns, you may choose to link a LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram account. We only receive what that platform's standard sign-in permission set discloses (your name and platform-assigned id, and any candidate skill/interest tags the connection exposes) and only after you explicitly click "Connect." You can disconnect a linked account at any time from your Profile page. If you request deletion of your data through Facebook directly, our systems process that request automatically without any action needed from you.
Payout account information. If you participate in paid external campaigns, you may link a PayPal or Venmo identifier so you can be paid in cash. We store the identifier and verification status only, never any linked financial account credentials.
Directory and single sign-on configuration. If your company administrator configures LDAP or SAML SSO, connects a mail server, or connects an external database for data extraction, any credentials involved are encrypted at rest and used solely to operate that integration for your company.
Automatically collected information. Standard web log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) and a session cookie that keeps you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal information.
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. A company administrator can deactivate or remove an employee's access at any time from within the application. Public Participants can disconnect a linked social account or delete a payout account at any time from their Profile page.
If you removed LabelingIQ from your Facebook account, we automatically receive and honor Facebook's deletion request for the data we obtained from that connection - no action is needed on your part, and you can check the status of that request at the link Facebook provides you. For any other deletion request, or to ask what information we hold about you, contact us at the email below.
All traffic to LabelingIQ is encrypted in transit. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Sensitive integration credentials (directory bind passwords, database and HR-system credentials) are encrypted at rest. Sign-up and sign-in are protected against automated abuse, and we run continuous automated security checks against the live application - a real-time summary is public at Security Status. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work to protect your information, we can't guarantee its absolute security.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
If you're an employee of a customer company, some of these requests may need to go through your company's administrator, since they control that account. Otherwise, contact us using the details below and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
LabelingIQ is a business tool and our Public Participant pool is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify company administrators directly.
